Cutaneous melanoma is one of the deadliest forms of skin cancer in part due to its inherent cellular plasticity and heterogeneity. These characteristics have made it difficult to understand and effectively treat melanoma. Despite advances in melanoma phenotyping, quantifying morphological differences between cells remains a hurdle.

In this webinar brought to you by Deepcell, Evelyn Lattmann will present an artificial intelligence (AI)-based microscopy approach that enabled her to morphologically classify melanoma cells without fluorescent labels.

Topics to be covered

  • Introduction to examining cell morphology using a label-free, AI-driven cell analysis platform
  • Classifying patient-derived melanoma cells into melanocytic and mesenchymal phenotypes through morpholomics
